The Kandy District Scout Branch, established in 1913, is one of Sri Lanka’s oldest and most distinguished scouting divisions under the Sri Lanka Scout Association. Over the years, we have been dedicated to shaping young minds through programs focused on leadership, teamwork, personal development, and community service.

Our district encompasses a wide area, with numerous scout groups spread across the Kandy district, actively engaging in various scouting activities. Today, we proudly represent over 7000 Singithi Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scout and Rover Scouts, across schools and communities in the district. We believe in creating a strong, supportive network that brings together youth to learn, grow, and contribute to their communities.

Throughout our long history, we have hosted countless events, camps, and workshops, all designed to foster the values of scouting. One of our most notable events is the annual Kanboree, a celebration that brings together scouts from every corner of Kandy to showcase their skills, share experiences, and participate in adventurous activities.

Our scouts are driven by the mission of “creating a better world,” empowering youth to unlock their potential and make a positive impact in their communities. Guided by the core values of scouting, we continue to build leaders, promote social responsibility, and uphold the spirit of unity and adventure.
